What We Offer |
Private Vocal LessonsSongbirds offers private vocal study. Private lessons are without a doubt the best way to make significant progress in your musical skill and understanding. Songbirds is a Broadway stage and screen company. What does that mean? We specialize in music that you would either hear on the radio or see on stage. That being said, our teachers have been educated in classical training as well and can prepare you/your child for solo ensemble and honors choir upon request. Each private lesson is scheduled in ½ hour durations and occurs at the same time weekly. Class includes instruction in the following techniques: Breathing, Relaxation, Sound Production, Character development, Vocal placement, Vocalises (Warm-ups), Unison singing, Song Choice, Vocal Styles, Singing while in motion, Performance skills and how to work with a Microphone. We also offer a Competition team. This team is by invitation only and the student must be in private lessons. For more information please contact the studio (810) 653-9090. Small group lessons are available upon request (Max of 3). We also offer Competition Company Choirs (See Companies). Our studio rooms are equipped with state of the art sound systems, graphic viewers, microphones and performance piano’s. Every student is offered the opportunity to participate in the end of the year recital if they wish. Private Acting LessonsSongbirds Offers small group acting study. Each group lesson is scheduled in ½ hour durations and occurs at the same time weekly. There must be a minimum of 4 people in the class for it to occur. Class includes instruction in the following techniques: Breathing, relaxation, sound production, Character development, Unison singing, Monologues, Blocking, Singing while in motion, performance skills, set design, Makeup artistry, Audition skills, Resume work, and how to work with a Microphone. We also offer a Competition team. This team is by invitation only and the student must be in private small group lessons. For more information please contact the studio (810) 653-9090. Every student is offered the opportunity to participate in the end of the year recital if they wish. Private Piano LessonsSongbirds Offers private piano lessons. Each private lesson is scheduled in ½ hour durations and occurs at the same time weekly. Each class includes instruction in the following techniques: Musical theory, Fingering, Music choice, sight reading, Music terminology ,Chord and tab work, as well as music interruption.
